Terms and Conditions

Warranty Terms

Clutch Direct warrants that all products sold are free from defects in material and workmanship. Each product is warranted against defects in material or workmanship that cause the product to perform below reasonable expectations.

  • Coverage: Clutch Direct will, at its sole option, repair or replace any products supplied by it which are found to be defective, provided Clutch Direct is notified in writing by the customer within 2 years from the date of purchase.

  • Third-Party Products: All products sold by Clutch Direct are sold under the manufacturer’s warranty terms and conditions. Details are available on request.


Warranty Exclusions

Clutch Direct is not a mechanical workshop. We do not warrant the installation work of third-party mechanical businesses installing our products.

  • Correct selection of products is the responsibility of the purchaser.

  • Before fitting, always try the clutch disc on the gearbox spline and check the height of the cover assembly and release bearing.

  • Please ensure you order the correct parts. Return of a product in an unused condition will attract a 17.5%–25% restocking and administrative fee, where Clutch Direct is not at fault.

The above warranty will not apply where:
    1. The product has not been correctly installed, or evidence of misuse or negligence is evident.
    2. The product has been modified without prior approval.
    3. The product is used beyond the expectations of the original vehicle manufacturer.
    4. The product is no longer required, incorrectly chosen by the customer, or the customer has changed their mind (see Return Policy for discretionary return process).


Return Policy

  • As per Australian Consumer Law, we are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind.

  • In all cases where returns are accepted for change of mind or change of customer circumstance, Clutch Direct will issue store credit only.

General Return Rules

  • All return requests must be made in writing to sales@clutchdirect.com.au and approved before the item is returned.

  • If a product has been fitted it cannot be returned.

  • The responsibility for returning the item lies with the customer. Clutch Direct accepts no responsibility for items lost or damaged in return transit.

  • Store credits or refunds (for product faults only) will only be issued for items returned in resalable condition.

Restocking Fees

  • For approved returns within 30 days of purchase: $30 restocking fee applies.

  • For approved returns between 30 and 90 days: 17% restocking fee (minimum $30) applies.

  • No returns are accepted after 90 days of purchase.

Brand-Specific Conditions

The following brands can only be returned with written approval from Clutch Direct and will always incur a 17% restocking fee:
    • Mantic
    • NPC Performance
    • Uniclutch
    • Competition Clutch
    • Bremtec
    • RDA

The following brands cannot be returned once shipped:
    • Bendix Ultimate Brake Kits
    • NPC Performance Twin Plate Clutch Kits

Cancellations Prior to Dispatch

  • Orders cancelled before they are shipped are subject to a 5% administrative fee.

  • Where cancellation relates to a change of mind or change of customer circumstance, store credit only will be issued.

Important:

  • No products are to be returned without prior written consent.

  • All return requests must be directed to sales@clutchdirect.com.au.

  • All return postage costs are the responsibility of the purchaser.


Liability for Additional Costs

Clutch Direct shall not be liable for any expense incurred by the customer in order to remedy any defect in its products.

  • Clutch Direct will not cover removal, installation, or postage costs required to give effect to this warranty.


Liability for Import Taxes and Duties

All import taxes and duties are the responsibility of the purchaser.

  • Clutch Direct will not be liable for any additional costs, charges, or delays incurred due to customs clearance or import regulations in the destination country.


Product Indemnity

The customer agrees to indemnify Clutch Direct from and against any loss, injury, or damage to person or property that extends beyond the warranties set forth above, whether the claims against Clutch Direct or the damages are incidental or consequential.


Legality of Modifications

  • Rules and regulations for light vehicles vary from state to state. Please research these regulations in your jurisdiction before undertaking modifications to your car.
